As we head into the new year, it’s a great time to take a step back, reflect, and get clear on your next career moves.

2025 isn’t just another year—it’s a chance to take your career and leadership journey to the next level.

For me, 2024 was all about being unleashed and unapologetic.

It was a year to lean into discomfort and take bold actions for different results.

As a coach who teaches personal branding, I had to take my own advice and show up.

As an introvert, I tend to prefer staying behind the scenes, helping others shine.

But in 2024, I realised that keeping a low profile wasn’t serving anyone.

How can I help others if they don’t know I exist?

Last year, I secured multiple contracts from people who had never directly interacted with me but had been following my LinkedIn content.

People are always watching 👀

As a leader, are you showing up—or staying hidden?

If you are a leader in an organisation, do you track your accomplishments on the go and share them with your management?

Or are you waiting for them to notice you?

If you are a business owner, is your LinkedIn up to date?

Does your network know what you do and how you can help them?

I understand the fear of showing up 😫

Yes, there’s always a risk that people will judge you.

But consider this: what’s the cost of not showing up?

The Real Challenge: Visibility and Personal Branding

One of the biggest challenges I see for leaders is self-promotion and personal branding.

In today’s world, if you’re not visible, you’re invisible.

Gone are the days of waiting to be “discovered.”

I’ve spent over 14 years on social media and have extensive experience in corporate employer branding.

I know first-hand how consistency builds trust.

Think about it: Two candidates are competing for the same opportunity.

One has a strong online presence with recommendations and social proof.

The other has no referrals or digital footprint.

Who do you think gets the trust and the contract?

In 2025, you get to decide how you show up.

I always say that even if you do your best to show up, not everyone will acknowledge your gifts and accomplishments.

That’s why it’s so important that you do.

Go where you’re celebrated, not tolerated.

7 BOLD Moves to Amplify Your 2025

1. Audit Your Achievements

Take a moment to look back and acknowledge your wins from 2024.

✨ What milestones did you reach?

✨ What growth are you most proud of?

Action Step: Write down your top three achievements and the key skills you used to get there.

2. Clarify Your Vision

A clear vision creates direction.

✨ Where do you want to be by the end of 2025?

Action Step: Write down your top three goals for 2025 and make sure they align with your long-term vision.

3. Build Your Personal Brand

Your brand is how you show up and what people say about you when you're not in the room.

Make 2025 the year you show up authentically and unapologetically.

Action Step: Commit to showing up consistently—online and offline. Share your expertise, network, and celebrate your unique strengths.

4. Build Strategic Relationships

Surround yourself with people who inspire and challenge you.

✨ Focus on nurturing relationships that will help you grow and succeed.

Action Step: Reach out to three people you’d like to learn from or collaborate with this year.

5. Embrace BOLDness

BOLDness means stepping outside your comfort zone and taking risks, even when you're unsure of the outcome.

✨ Let go of perfectionism and focus on progress. Ask for help, share your work, and take chances.

Action Step: Write down one bold move you’ll make in Q1 and take action on it within the next 30 days.

6. Invest in Yourself

Growth takes investment. Whether it’s a course, a coach, or attending a conference, prioritise opportunities that align with your goals.

Action Step: Set a budget for self-development in 2025 and choose one programme to invest in by February.

7. Reflect and Realign Regularly

Your journey will shift, and so should your goals.

✨ Take time to reflect and make adjustments to your game plan throughout the year.

Action Step: Schedule quarterly check-ins to assess your progress and make adjustments as needed.
